As if of a walk through memories, FROM FARRUCA TO FARAONA refreshes our emotions. For them, dancing is like walking through the house, hitching up their slippers, tying up an apron and doing the errands…
The unmistakable daughters of the maestro Farruco, Rosario Montoya
FROM FARRUCA TO FARAONA tells us an every-day story, composes various flamenco melodies with an improvisation key and invites us to match a movie with no special effects. Maybe in black and white, but with a fundamental argument: ‘Authorized to all audiences’.
Hispanico Numen is an instrumental ensemble which creates a direct and personal vision of music which is not easily defined due to the diversity which has influenced it. Perhaps could be labelled according to what is known as “crossover” since its style is contemporary, although influenced by a variety of different musical disciplines like Flamenco, jazz, rock or classical music. They are an unprecedented band resulting from the fusion of the Soprano Saxophone, Viola, Electric bass and Flamenco Guitar, working their music as a Classical Chamber Music Ensemble.,creating an exciting new sound. Their work is complimented by close transcriptions of other authors of Classical music and arrangements of Brazilian music. Since 2003 they have performed at important international festivals in USA, UK, Spain, Philippines , Melbourne, Berlin, Hong Kong and Cameroon, among others. Renowned composers such as David Peña Dorantes, Jovino Santos Neto or Hermeto Pascoal, have dedicated some of their work to the Ensemble.
Farruquito honor sus on this show with a pure art performance, the purity and power of the Farruco family: the soberness and incomparable presence of his mother La Farruca; the freshness and audacity of his brother Farru; the festive joy of his aunt La Faraona; and the contained power of his cousin Barullo. For the first time, the dancer is not on stage but creating, directing, holding and gives the form to the most flamenco saga, to the shivering of dance.

--EXCLUSIVE INTERNATIONAL REPRESENTATIVE--
A glance towards the past, to the musical cafes of late 19th century, where gypsy women fight for purity of their art.
Dancing, singing, music with a touch of humor; struggle, seduction, strength… the drama of the race. Gypsies who are mothers, and mothers with no children, the pain of marginalization and the ART as their only resource to survive. A ‘jondo’ aesthetics, traditional singing and gypsy dance. Something incomparable!
Rosario Montoya La Farruca offers us a flamenco recital through which time has not passed by. It recreates the past and purity to show us the best of female dance: Pilar Montoya La Faraona, Angelita Vargas and Carmelilla Montoya accompanied by the flamenco singers Juana la del Revuelo, Encarnita Anillo, María Vizárraga and Mara Rey.
